For nearly three decades, April-Cobra has performed with integrity, responsibility and distinction on major projects throughout Northeastern Illinois. This record of accomplishment includes the following:

City of Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) Roadway Improvement Projects

April-Cobra installs sidewalks, curbs and gutters for many of Chicago’s major streets. The projects are part of CDOT’s ongoing effort to maintain the city’s 4,000 miles of streets and 1,900 miles of alleys. The department rebuilds and renews this system by resurfacing and reconstructing miles of arterial and residential streets, building and maintaining hundreds of miles of sidewalks, and resurfacing dozens of alleys. 

Metropolitan Lake and Dam Restoration Project

April-Cobra provided excavation, seeding, sod installation, and tree planting for this massive project of the Forest Preserves of Cook County.  The project restored 259 acres of forest preserve land with the removal of dams and brush clearing. This work was considered critical to ensure that native plants and animals continue to thrive for the next 100 years and beyond.

Jeep Cherokee Parts Plant

April-Cobra provided excavation, rough grading and concrete flooring for the 336,000-square-foot facility, in Belvidere, Illinois, built to manufacture components for the Jeep Cherokee.

The Aurora Transportation Center

April-Cobra provided rough grading, fine grading, seeding, sod installation and tree planting for the Aurora Transportation Center, a station on Metra's BNSF Railway Line and a major hub for the Pace bus service, in Aurora, Illinois.
